Iconic Gainesville home! Tom Petty lived in this house after high school when he played locally with Mudcrutch (historic soundproofing in the attic space is still there from when the band practiced inside the home). Location, location, location! Perfect for Gator weekends, Gainesville events, Hospital stays (right across the street from Shands / UF Health) and family gatherings!
This historic, iconic home has plenty of room for multiple families (1 king bedroom, 2 bedrooms with 2 queen beds each, and a smaller bedroom with a twin and an extra air mattress).
The kitchen was fully renovated in 2021, as well as new plumbing, new roof, and new paint inside and outside- all of the modern updates while still keeping the charm of the original heart of pine floors, original historic tile, curved walls, and more!
Enjoy an afternoon or evening on the orange and blue patio (we have a picnic table, chairs, and a grill for your convenience).
The location cannot be beat- super close to UF, downtown, the stadium(s), Shands, the VA Hospital, the Vet School.
Please note that because of the fantastic, central location, the intersection where the house is located is busy and the sidewalks adjacent to the house are frequented (potential for noise). The house has been booked up nonstop since August and we've hosted many great guests who have loved the house.
Bring the whole family (pets included). The yard has plenty of space for 6+ cars.
