4 Bedroom Cottage in Ocean Isle Beach
NEWLY RENOVATED! Our cottage is located on a canal and only a short walk to the beach (2 short blocks). Being on the canal means that we can dock our boat right at the house. The Intracoastal Waterway is a short 7 minute boat ride from the house. We can take the boat south to Myrtle Beach, SC which is about 45 minutes or north to Southport, NC which is about 60 minutes. Southport is a historical fishing village with some unique shops and lots of great seafood restaurants.
The canal is a favorite place to swim and float on rafts. We have recently added a fire pit which is great for evening fires and roasting marshmellows for smores. We like to sit by the fire and enjoy the evening hours near the canal. There is a grill for grilling out on the ground level near the fire pit (Ocean Isle does not allow grills on the deck).
The beach is only a short walk away -- the public access to the beach is 2 blocks from the house (5 - 7 minute walk). Ocean Isle Beach is a very wide beach with beautiful sand. We love to go to the beach in the early morning for a walk or late afternoon to watch the sunset.
The cottage is very comfortable and inviting. Surrounded by palm trees, the cottage offers 4 bedrooms, 3 on the main level and 1 king bedroom in an enclosed loft area with a small balcony which is perfect for morning coffee or an afternoon drink. The main living area has a 65" TV, 2 large sofas, and 2 club chairs which is great for the entire family to watch a movie. The dining table seats 8 -10 and there is a smaller round table perfect for games and puzzles.
Each bedroom is unique in its own way: The 1st bedroom has a king bed / private bath. The 2nd bedroom has 2 queen beds with an adjoining bathroom that connects to the 3rd bedroom which has 2 twin beds. The 4th bedroom is upstairs in a lofted area (doors for privacy) with a king bed, private bath, and private balcony. Please bring your own linens and towels.
The main living area leads to a large deck that overlooks the canal. Another great place to sit, relax, and enjoy the view. There are rocking chairs and plenty of shade on the ground level not far from the dock.
