Near the cabin are several establishments beneficial to all fisherman: Waterfront Grocery and Tackle (2.3 miles from the cabin), Waterfront Boat Ramp (2.3 miles from the cabin), and Guntersville State Park (4 mile boat ride from the cabin's pier). Also nearby are several locations for boat rental and fishing guides. The water is on average 6-7 feet deep at the end of the pier. The water is deep enough for most water crafts and all swimming, and the pier is large enough to hold three fishing boats and some jet skis.
